TekSynap Awarded WiFi Implementation for 26 VA Medical Centers with Prime Harris Corporation

In April 2012, TekSynap partnered with Harris to secure the implementation of a Wireless Location-based Grade Network for 26 VA Medical Centers. The award is valued at over $20 Million. The initial effort encompasses 26 sites however the VA has a vision to deploy this technology at over 110 sites. TekSynap played a pivotal role in securing the National Wifi Program. The wireless location-based infrastructure will be installed at facilities across the US, Alaska, Hawaii, Philippines, and Puerto Rico. The VA WiFi location-based infrastructure offers the VA secure, wireless communications for a broad range of data and telecommunications needs including video, voice, data, and Real-Time Location Services (RTLS). The 802.11 a/b/g wireless communications network will support a wide range of mission applications for the VA including asset tracking, radio frequency identification (RFID) and barcode medical applications.
