Robert Kennett serves as a Director for TekSynap, supporting the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) portfolio. He is a hands-on technical program leader who pairs operational discipline with deep experience managing enterprise network and infrastructure operations across geographically dispersed environments.
Over the course of his career, Rob has led and supported multiple federal contracts across diverse mission environments, including customers such as the Joint Service Provider (JSP), the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC), and the U.S. Air Force, supporting both the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and the 844th Communications Squadron. His work has spanned multiple installations and geographic locations, requiring coordination of distributed teams, systems, and stakeholders to sustain reliable operations at scale.
Rob’s background is rooted in enterprise network operations and engineering support across large, multi-site environments. He has served as a technical leader overseeing day-to-day operations and major incident response for geographically distributed networks, leading service restoration efforts impacting mission-critical users across multiple locations. His experience includes troubleshooting complex network issues, supporting network design and planning activities, and contributing to the development of Engineering Installation Plans.
At TekSynap, Rob serves as the primary point of contact for mission programs while remaining closely engaged with technical execution. He has built and led high-performing teams across locations, managed staffing and performance, and coordinated with customer and partner organizations to maintain steady service delivery in high-tempo, distributed operational environments. He is also an experienced major incident leader, having developed SOPs, led enterprise-wide outage response, and driven after-action reporting and root cause analysis across multi-location systems.
