About This Vehicle

The USAF Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) IDIQ is a comprehensive initiative aimed at revolutionizing the Department of the Air Force’s (DAF) information technology infrastructure across its bases worldwide. This contract will provide for the furnishing, upgrading, designing, testing, installation, and maintenance of all Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPR) and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPR) Base Area Network (BAN) wired and wireless components.

The scope encompasses operating, monitoring, and sustaining the network in accordance with specified requirements, ensuring robust and secure communication capabilities for Air Force operations. Bases with flightline operations may be subject to additional requirements, which will be defined in individual Task Order Performance Work Statements (PWS).

Each BIM task order is designed to facilitate the rapid transformation of the DAF’s base-centric IT infrastructure to an enterprise-wide approach, leveraging industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies. Task Orders may cover single or multiple bases, allowing for flexibility in implementation and resource allocation.

  • Site Survey:

    Comprehensive assessment of existing infrastructure and identification of modernization needs.

  • Operate Government Network:

    Management and maintenance of current network systems during the transition phase.

  • Design & Architecture:

    Development of tailored network solutions aligned with DAF’s strategic objectives and cybersecurity requirements.

  • Modernization:

    Implementation of state-of-the-art network technologies and infrastructure upgrades.

  • Operate Modernized Network:

    Ongoing management and optimization of the newly implemented network systems.

  • Studies & Analysis:

    Continuous evaluation of network performance, security posture, and identification of future enhancement opportunities.

  • Ancillary Services & Materials:

    Provision of supplementary services and materials as required to support the primary objectives of the BIM initiative.
